My story

## Why I do this work

My journey into naturopathic medicine began with my own health struggles in my early twenties. After coming off hormonal birth control, I lost my menstrual cycle for an entire year, struggled with debilitating fatigue, weight gain, and digestive issues, and felt completely disconnected from my body. It wasn't until I worked with a Naturopathic Doctor that I discovered hypothyroidism and PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) contributing to my symptoms.

For the first time, I felt heard, understood, and empowered to take an active role in my health. Over the years, I've also navigated my own challenges with weight gain, despite feeling like I was doing all the right things. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to put so much effort into your health and still feel like your body isn't responding the way you expect.

These experiences didn't just shape my approach to healthcare, they ignited a passion for helping other women better understand their bodies and feel confident in their health. I genuinely love what I do. There's nothing more rewarding than helping women connect the dots, make sense of their symptoms, and realize that meaningful change is possible with the right guidance and support.

What I believe

## "I believe health should give us more freedom to live our lives fully, not become another thing we have to perfect."

## Education and Professional Training

I'm a Canadian-trained Naturopathic Doctor and graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). I also hold a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and have completed intravenous (IV) nutritional therapy training through International IV Nutritional Therapy. I am a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Doctors (AAND).

My clinical practice focuses on women’s health, hormonal and metabolic health, weight management, fertility, and perimenopause and menopause. I also have a strong clinical interest in digestive health, thyroid function, and stress-related concerns. My approach combines evidence-informed medicine with individualized, collaborative care to help patients better understand their health and achieve meaningful, sustainable results.

I’ve worked in the health and wellness space in diverse capacities for the past 10 years, allowing me to see a broader and more detailed picture of my patients’ overall well-being. I am a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Doctors (AAND).
